Frequently Asked Questions

Below you will find everything you need to know regarding advantages, costs, exclusivity, display and sorting of products, general appearance preferences, width and examples.

Which advantages does the DaWanda WebShop have for me as a seller?

The DaWanda WebShop can be quickly and easily installed in your own website, blog or Facebook Fanpage. As you can change the background and text colour, you can customise it to match any webpage design. You, as the seller, do not need to update your shop more than once each time. Your WebShop will update itself automatically based on the content of your normal DaWanda shop. For the buyer, secure order processing takes place as usual on DaWanda. All orders will continue to be processed and managed centrally at ‘My DaWanda – My Orders’.

Does it cost extra to use the DaWanda WebShop?

No. Every DaWanda seller can use the DaWanda WebShop free of charge. You only need to agree to the Terms & Conditions of Use. Your usual DaWanda fees for successful sales will stay exactly the same.

Can you use the WebShop if you are not a DaWanda seller?

No. At the moment this feature is exclusively available only to DaWanda sellers. But if you want to open a DaWanda shop, you can do so easily and free of charge. Register Now.

Which products will be displayed in my DaWanda WebShop?

All the products listed in your DaWanda shop will be displayed – and only these.

Can the products in the WebShop be resorted?

No, this is not currently possible. They will be sorted exactly as in your normal DaWanda shop, with the most recently listed appearing first.

When do changes to my normal DaWanda shop appear in the WebShop?

New products in your normal DaWanda shop will be automatically displayed in your WebShop, too. Changes to the background and text colour will be visible in the WebShop as soon as you have entered the source code.

Which general appearance preferences can I control in the WebShop?

You are free to choose however many rows and columns you would like to display. You can also pick a different background, text and link colour, so that your DaWanda WebShop matches seamlessly with your website or blog.

What do I need to be aware of regarding the width of the WebShop?

The WebShop automatically resizes to fit the available width of your website, blog or Facebook Fanpage. The layout will be adjusted accordingly, and may differ from the preview. Image sizes in the shop overview will also be adjusted accordingly.

Can WebShops be used to display other people’s DaWanda shops?

No, for legal reasons, only one of the owners of the DaWanda shop in question can integrate and operate the WebShop for that shop.

Are there any examples where I can see how the WebShop looks before I install it?

For sure: Have you successfully installed the DaWanda WebShop, and would you like to show us? Then just send an email to azra[at]dawanda.com. We’d be delighted to hear from you!
