STUDIO Harpsichord - Cembali William HornThis instrument is inspired by a Flemish harpsichord by J. Ruckers (Antwerp, 1638), preserving its main structural and acoustic characteristics. All decorative elements have been eliminated. The parts responsible for the production of sound (soundboard, bridges) and for the action (jacks, keyboard, registers) are in solid wood (spruce, beech, service wood) and are identical to those used in the more advanced models. The instrument is available in the basic version, with a single 8′ register and lute, or in a version with two 8′ registers and lute. The basic version is constructed so as to facilitate the subsequent addition of a second unison register. A version with two keyboards and three registers is in preparation. The instrument is available in natural wood, unfinished, or upon request it can be painted and decorated. It is also available in kit version (assembled case with finished soundboard). Completion of the kit requires the following operations: stringing, assembly and regulation of the action, keyboard finishing, and painting. Personalized decoration is available upon request. Dimensions: 215 x 95 x 28 cm
