I have been so busy sewing my children's designs, I thought it would be fun to list one of my creations. Kawaii fabric is one of my favorite materials. This is my new take on an old classic.

Well I have seen Matryoshka Dolls made out of wood, cloth, and paper, so why not socks?

I was thrilled when I did an online search for Matryoshka Dolls made out of socks and came up with nothing. This is Galina, and she is made out of a combination of socks, cotton fabric, and really fun Japanese Kawaii Matryoshka Doll fabric in denim blue.

So this is part of my new Spring Line. Galina is a replication of one of my favorite vintage toys. I adore Matryoshka Dolls, and truly enjoy creating these little dolls.

Galina is sewn from brand of cream cotton socks. I used this fun Kawaii Matryoshka linen fabric for the body. She has black hair which is also sewn from a sock. A red crocheted wool flower and two green crocheted wool leaves are stitched to her collar. A yellow and blue fulled wool bow is stitched to her head in red. She is stuffed with polyfill .

Galina's face has a sweet embroidered expression. The skin is a soft cotton knit doll skin fabric. She has black eyes, and a red dot mouth. This featured fabric is a light fair, but I have 4 other skin tones as well. Measures 9 inches from top of head to bottom of feet.

Common sense adult supervision is recommended while playing with every one of my toys, but I feel Galina would be better suited for an older child. Though securely stitched, she does have appliques that are fulled wool. Please do not leave Galina in a crib. She is not intended to be chew toys for any child. ;)

* I try to recycle my shipping boxes and envelopes to cut the cost of shipping. Some boxes/envelopes weigh less than others. If your shipping cost is less than listed price, I always refund the difference. If it's more, I always assume the extra cost. Shipping price is always displayed on package.
