This scarf is 100% silk. All colors have been hand-dyed. The warp includes ikat patterning. Ikat is the process of wrapping groups of thread with plastic so that those parts will resist the dye. Depending on the resist pattern, ikat can be very complex.

This piece was woven on a table loom. It is woven in an even twill, which makes the scarf drape beautifully around your neck. This 'HandWoven' measures approximately 30 x 200 cm.
The ends of the scarf have all been twisted by hand.

This piece is unique, and will not be reproduced. It is a one of a kind design.
