Title: Man in the Wilderness
Original Chinese brush painting by me, Ren Adams
Double mounted, professionally matted (bright white mat board with foam core and acid-free bag).
Size: 27 1/2" x 18 1/4"
This painting was done using traditional Chinese brush techniques on soft white rice paper. The rice paper has been wet mounted onto a strong, sturdy piece of bright white paper for nice colors and long life.
An ancient Chinese scholar walks out into the wilderness. With a strange sense of perspective and depth, he surveys the world around him--and finds that he is only one small part.
Chinese brush painting requires a quiet, focused mind. I do it as part of my daily meditation and each stroke is laid down only once. You can't go back and forth over the same spot to correct a mistake.
Painting is signed with my artist name chop (square); An Rui Ning, and my mood seal "The Way to the Tao is not difficult."
Double mounted, unframed. Let me know if you need framing services. I work with an awesome framer.
Materials: watercolor, rice paper, ink,
