Description
An original black ink brush drawing on off-white cartridge paper, one of a series of fast poses/fast paintings. This shows a female model, kneeling on the floor, hunched over, head down, arms reaching out. It's a dramatic pose, potentially of submission, exhaustion or even worship - how you interpret it is entirely up to you. I like the emotion of it, the way the heavy paint stroke on the back seems like a weight carried by the model, how this quickly rendered piece can have such a raw, immediate feeling.
Ink on paper, 250mm x 180mm (9.8" x 7.1")
