I don't know really why, maybe because of the lightness of the balls, but Tommy (my cat) really loves these toys!
And I must say that they not even need to have catnip on them... Actually, if there would be catnip on the toys he would just lay there and lick the toys and turn and turn.
I want a toy to give him extra exercise and fun and it does the trick!

On the contrary of many cats' toys available these ones are really made for cats by cats ;)
