Silk & wool japanese kimono fabric green moss - Great TextilesThis piece of fabric is from an unused bolt of soft japanese silk and wool blend that was designed for a kimono during the Showa era( 1925 - 1989 ). It is an older weave, woven with very tiny fine silk and wool yarn creating an opaque, densely woven and yet very thin feeling fabric - dry subtle texture in places and smooth in others. It is a lovely light moss green colour with quite a lustre to it and the subtle woven motifs are dark blossom pink and ivory. It looks nice next to the mossy green striped wool flannel and the LINNET Rue de Renne Peat Tweed Brown linen - refer last photo. These fabrics are offered in separate listings 100% natural fibre - silk and wool - but sorry I don't know the exact % of each but it feels more silk than wool. Condition: Vintage, never used, still in brand new condition, well-kept for decades. Length: 1m or 39.4 inches
