An original, recycled big bag that you can add to.....

This big, strong denim bag has been customized from a nearly new pair of Pepe London jeans. It has been enlarged and strengthened by adding a substantial base at the bottom of the bag, so it's not just front and back sewn together!

It is embellished with fabric from many countries....
vintage Indian sari and costume fabric,
vintage English barkcloth,
an exotic bird hand picked from an Indian wall hanging,
vintage and retro braid from Spain and England,
Spanish original antique lace,
creamy embroidered antique lace from Eastern Europe,
mixed 21st Century modern fabrics - metallic faux snakeskin pocket with velcro closure (on base) and embroidered flowers with mirror sequins,
70s LOVE patch in pink and silver glitter writing, edged in soft blue sequins.

Fully lined with aqua blue and sunburst yellow silk tie dyed design fabric from Sri Lanka

Long butter-soft and supple tan 100% leather shoulder strap which measures 40" long by one and a quarter inches wide.

Big chunky gold effect with boldly coloured resin stones buckle and pull-through strap for easy closure to the top of the bag.

The bag can be washed at 30 degrees, and ironed with care, on a cool setting. Any beads, sequins, mirrors etc on the bag should NOT be ironed!

This is the third bag I have created like this. My first one was made many years ago, and was added to with every trip or vacation I took, eventually the denim could just about be seen. It was such a unique bag (it could almost tell a story), and caused a lot of interest and started many bizarre conversations at airports! I still have it, faded and worn, and decided it was time to make more like it for someone else to enjoy! I hope this bag is as loved and as well travelled as it's predecessors!!
