Nature and landscape art have influenced my work in a variety of ways. The ‘Lightning cube’ captures a natural phenomenon, and retains the transient qualities of lightning.
I aim to produce work that is well made and that promotes energy efficiency and sustainability. All light cubes consist of high quality components. The cubes are made out of sheets of steel that are laser cut and then folded. They contain an energy saving light bulb and acrylic diffusers.
The cubes are signed and numbered in small editions. There is a selection of different surfaces, while each cube has a final protective layer of lacquer. (Some finishes are only 'made to order'.)
