The chrysanthemum kanzashi are made of silk flowers. I used authentic Japanese silk fabric that is used to make kimono.
Beautiful fabrics with gorgeous bright colors have always been one of greatest my passion. When I came across "Tsumami Kanzashi" online I knew it was fate. This technique is used to make exquisite hair "jewelry" for the apprentice geisha, maiko. It took me a while to gather all traditional material to start working on the projects on my mind.
