vintage 1940s embroidered blouse in peach - Violette And RoseThis pretty little 1940s blouse is made from satin-backed crepe in a soft peach colour, with embroidered cutwork front panels in ivory coloured thread. The fronts are gathered just below the shoulders onto a yoke section, and there are soft pleats at the lower edge to give some shaping at the waist. The blouse also has some very small shoulder pads sewn onto the inside sleeve seam to give a little bit of definition to the shoulders. There are no labels in the garment, which would fit a bust size of 36inches (approx. UK size 12 in current sizing) Taking into account the normal wear to be expected from a vintage item, the blouse is generally in good condition, but there is some staining on the front which is illustrated in the end photo above. Also, the third button down from the top does not match the other three, being slightly darker in colour.
