Product description
One of my favourite life oil paintings, this is an original figure painting on primed canvas board, combining the canvas texture of working on canvas with the solid backing of board. I'm particularly pleased with the work on the torso, shown in detail here, and the way the colour of the model's skin stands out against the vibrant blue background. It was painted in one extended sitting, giving the pose a freshness, the limbs left relatively vague allowing the focus to rest on the torso, catching the form just right. The colours are rich, with a professional gloss finish protecting the painting and bringing the colours out nicely. Oil paint on primed canvas board, 40cm x 30cm (15.7" x 11.8")
