My first edition of prints from linocuts, this is based on a sketch inspired by Hera, the Greek goddess of marriage and pregnancy. It shows her in profile, looking down at her body, mouth partly open, a lock of hair curling down echoing the shape of her heavily pregnant belly. Nine prints were made in total for this edition.

The print has been made using black water-based paint, and is on 100gsm paper made from recycled paper and bananas giving it a nice texture that complements the print. It is numbered, titled and initialled by the artist in pencil below the image. I'm very proud of this simple yet potent image and hope it'll be appreciated by existing mothers, mums-to-be and anyone whose ever been born!

Packaged in protective plastic & shipped in cardboard-backed envelope.
