I took this photo in an outdoor shrine on my last visit to Osaka.

The rows of lanterns made a strong graphic impression. I decided to have the field of lanterns in black and white with only one glowing, representing the individuality of one in the thousands hanging from the ceiling.

This photograph is part of the 'Dentō' series which means 'tradition' in japanese.

This limited edition is printed on professional photographic paper and signed on the back. The watermark appears only on this example and not on the actual print.

Dimensions: 11.5" x 8.3" (29.5cm x 21cm)
