Coral Bowl

This large bowl, inspired by the texture of coral, is a great sculptural or functional addition to any room. This is my new favorite thing, and it looks great filled with fruit or higher up on a shelf as a sculptural element. This bowl is thin, so it does have a translucency when light shines through it, giving a warm glow that only porcelain can achieve.
Hand made from my favorite english porcelain, the textural exterior is left natural and unglazed, the interior is coated with a transluscent food safe glaze. It measures 14 1/2" across the mouth of the bowl, and 4- 5" deep. The texture carries all the way around the bowl, giving it a really nice lift and a hint of asymmetry.
