The brooch is made from strong card and it has a pinback strongly, cleanly, doubly glued to the back. This is a rare bird from New Zealand which I am quite fond of. We used to go to forests and look for them. And then if we saw one we were happy and we felt lucky.

There are three different birds in the genus called "Mohoua". I also have made a Pōpokotea (also known as Whitehead).

The bird is about 3 inches in size.
