Mariposa Cocktail Ring - Brass and Sterling Silver

I have always been fond of that quote, and am happy to bring a beautiful butterfly cocktail ring to the shop. This lepidoptera is made from new yellow brass, created from original tooling & dies that date back to the early 1900’s. It is securely (and permanently) soldered to a slender band of sterling silver--slightly askew to add interest & a "natural" feel. As if it just landed on your very finger! The band is brushed lightly, and the butterfly is oxidized and sanded to make the details really stand out. Too big for you? Look for a smaller version in the near future.

Butterfly measures approx. 1" x 1.25" (2.54cm x 3.17cm) Please let me know your ring size upon checkout.

*PLEASE NOTE that I only use lead free & cadmium free silver solder in my soldered pieces, and a natural non-toxic "pickle" to clean the metal after using the torch. All of my raw metals (wire, sheet, etc.) are recycled/reclaimed metal. When oxidizing, I also use liver of sulfur. No harsh chemicals.*
