Description
A clam shell shaped drawstring pouch that I found the most popular handmade project
in Japan. Here is my own reversible version in high
quiality imported Japanese cotton/linen blend
with waffle texture.

While drawstring bags have always been common in Japan, this design is
updated to today's style by having pleats on the bottom.

As you pull the strings the pouch puffs up and create this cute, clam shape.
With the pleats, this pouch can hold a lot while keeping this signeture shape.

Special string for drawstring bags is shipped from Japan.
They are tightly woven and strong with nice soft feel.
The end of the straps are wrapped with the same fabric in pompom, this is
one of the commom traditional techniques Japanese
women often used in old days.
