Once the color is dynamic, and other time more static - it shimmers under the influence of light. The under glass painting technique is different from the painting on the other types of ground. Contrary to the name of this technique, the paints are applied under the glass, whereas the painted work is being watched from the other side. This is a specific painting technique, requiring of thinking over beforehand and the accuracy.
