Genuine Irish Childs First Hurley 22 Inch - Darcywoodcraft

I make these hurls by hand from my workshop in Ireland. Each one is handcut, hand planed & hand sanded to give a perfect finish every time. I only supply childrens sizes as teen & adult sizes are readily available in commercial sport stores.

This hurley is 22 inches in length and is generally suited to 3-4yr olds. To check the suitability of this hurl for your child measure them in a standing position from the ground to their hip bone. If this hurl is too long or short, please see my other listings for a better fit. If you still cannot find a suitable size, email me and i can make one to order.

All hurles are supplied with a decorative black taped banding, if you do not require this banding or would like it in a specific county colour, just let me know.

A LITTLE ABOUT HURLING:
Hurling is an outdoor team sport of ancient gaelic origin. The sport has prehistoric roots and is belived to have been played for the past 3,000 years. It is thought to be the fastest field team sport in the world. Hurling is played in every village and town in Ireland with children beginning their training at as early as four years of age.
