This necklace is made from a real peacock tail eye feather. I get my feathers from the zoo. The birds shed feathers (molt) about 4 to 5 times a year and when they do the feathers are collected by the zookeepers and I have the joy of getting some to use in my art.

The necklace in the photo is on a gold toned nylon coated stainless steel necklace and matches nicely with the Peacock Feather Earrings in my other listing. I do them in a silver tone as well on a stainless steel necklace but the photos didn't come out so well. You can look in the third photo for a fuzzy glimpse. :) Just convo me with your preference when ordering.
