COCOONERY is in love with silk. We adore the elegance, the sheen and the structure of this natural material as well as the incredible intensity of colors. Our intention is to create clothes for the “very special occasion”, our models are to be small pieces of art that adorn the women wearing it. COCOONERY was founded in 2005 by three friends who aimed to fulfill their dream of a creative and independent activity besides their “normal” office jobs behind a desk. One of us, Ngo Mai Trang is living in Hanoi and tailors our models and the designs are developed collectively. The other two, Catherine and Claudia, live in Munich (Germany). All COCOONERY models are handmade in Hanoi by Trang. She gets support from friendly tailors and embroiderers, who have equal rights and voices when it comes to the details of the design.
Apart from the distribution of our models via Internet, COCOONERY organizes sales events in art galleries twice a year in order to present the new collection, mostly in the German cities of Munich, Frankfurt and Stuttgart.
