DESCRIPTION
This wooden taptana board has its origins in the former Incas who lived in Ecuador, but it is updated according to the modifications that Mauricio and Rebeca Wild made in their Pestalozzi free school.
With this board your kids will be able to add, subtract, divide and multiply, but it is up to them to discover all its possibilities.
This board has two areas divided in ten holes: nine of them represent a number from "1" to "9" and the bigger hole represents the "0". This hole is also the place where ten units change for a ten; ten tens for a hundred, etc. The eight smallest holes are the place to put the wooden beads that symbolize the range of colors used to represent the unit, the ten, the hundred, etc.
This simple, sturdy and functional board will withstand many years of child and adult usage.
The taptana is handmade of recycled European grown plywood and is natural finished with extra virgin olive oil.

SIZE
- 30 cm L x 20 cm W x 1 cm H.
- It has two play areas. In each one of them, the eight small holes measure 8 mm; the nine medium holes, 4 cm; and the bigger hole, 11 cm.

INCLUDES
90 wooden beads in three different colors. They represent the unit (green), the ten (blue) and the hundred (red).

MATERIALS
Pine plywood.

- This game is perfect for children above 7 years old that are interested on maths. It is also a favourite for adults.

EL ORDENADOR DE LOS INCAS

DESCRIPCIÓN
Esta taptana númerica tiene su origen en los antiguos incas que vivían en Ecuador, pero está actualizada según las modificaciones realizadas por Mauricio y Rebeca Wild en su escuela libre Pestalozzi.
Este instrumento de cálculo es un material ideal para permitir una introducción lúdica en el mundo de las matemáticas. Con él, su hijo podrá sumar, restar, dividir y multiplicar, pero dependiendo de sus intereses irá descubriendo todas sus posibilidades.
Está formado por dos espacios de juego divididos en diez agujeros: nueve de ellos representan un número del “1” al “9” y el agujero mayor representa el “0”. Este agujero es, además, el lugar en el que se cambian diez unidades por una decena; diez decenas por una centena, etc. En los ocho agujeros más pequeños se apoyan las cuentas de madera que simbolizan la gama de colores utilizada para representar la unidad, la decena, la centena, etc.
Este material simple, robusto y funcional resistirá muchos años de uso infantil y adulto.
La taptana está hecha a mano con maderas cultivadas y recicladas en Europa y tiene un acabado natural de aceite de oliva extra virgen.
