Product description

I made the base for this hat by hand, in my very own "swallowtail" pattern. It is covered with black silk velvet from the 1930's, finished on the underside with soft vintage rose silk gimp. The flower is a huge silk peony paired with handmade silk dupioni leaves and accented with Swarovski crystals throughout. Springing up from the flower like a black fountain, are beautiful sweeps of natural iridescent black coque feathers.

The hat is attatched to a french barrette clip. This hat will stay secure in any type of hair and any hairstyle.
