I was assigned to chocolate chip cookies but was a little worried because I did not have a “sure thing” chocolate chip cookie recipe. I looked through my cookbooks and found a handwritten recipe for chocolate chip cookies. I do not remember who gave me the recipe but I figured the cookies must have been pretty good for me to ask for it. I made the cookies and even won a prize for best tasting cookie. The ladies that judged the contest stated that my cookies were “very rich, moist, buttery, soft, chewy and had the perfect amount of crunch around the edges”. Another judge nodded in agreement and said “your cookies were simply indulgent and blissful.” Another woman chimed in and said “Wow, they sound almost better than sex” and that’s when another judge said “You know, that is an appropriate statement”. So now my cookie recipe is a running joke in my circle. I am always assigned the task of brining these wonderful cookies. I receive compliments whenever I make them and I have even received several facetious marriage proposals. This recipe calls for regular ingredients and is very easy to follow.
