Product description
This bag was handmade in Khayelitsha, a township which lies just outside Cape Town. An NGO Organization in the township offers people the chance to acquire practical skills such as sewing, woodwork and cooking. Social issues such as HIV/AIDS are addressed and life skills training is offered in all courses. Previously disadvantaged and unemployed individuals thus have a chance to learn a profession, thereby becoming independent and having a higher self-esteem, as they are now able to financially support themselves and their families.
