A cashmere poncho coat inspired from traditional Chinese garden architectural structure. Every time I visit classical gardens in Suzhou, China, I will be fascinated by those flowing, elegant lines to make contrast with trees, flowers, stones. Chinese garden is an exquisite labyrinth: you can not see it all from the way in no matter how small it is; behind a round gate or a turnaround of pavement surrounded by flowers, you will never know what a smart arrangement will be there to surprise you. You will see is how a scholar arranged his small utopia with his heart in a life time. First 10 years, he saw a tree was a tree, a stone is a stone, next 10 years, he saw a tree was not a tree, a stone was not a stone any more, then next 10 years, a tree was a tree again, a stone was a stone again. How similar the way it is we see the world years by years.

You will find those beautiful flowing and elegant lines of the gardens on this poncho coat in a abstract way, hope you enjoy this design like you are enjoying a beautiful garden in a brilliant spring day, something you can only day dream of in gloomy winter days.

Quality 50% cashmere/ 50% woolen blends, very thick but light weight, drapes well, warm, silky soft and heartbreakingly smooth like a sinfully good dessert.:=) We order cashmere from factory now, we do not have to pay loan of boutiques in good positions, we don’t hire 10000 USD/ hour models to do shows, so we can offer designs made with cashmere at very low price. It is our philosophy that we design and make designs for those who are rich, not those who have money.

Why not 100% cashmere? Cashmere is rare fiber collected during the spring moulting season when the goats naturally shed their winter coat. It is very soft and boneless, that is why 100% cashmere are used to make shawls, scarves and sweaters. A coat needs fabric soft but with bone to have shape, cost of fabric for coats with enough thickness takes a fortune, that is why even brands like Burberry, Gucci do not have 100% cashmere fabrics for overcoat in their ready to wear line. Cashmere/woolen blends keeps good balance of softness and firmness. The fabric we choose has not too long fine hair on surface which won’t pill as easily as the ones with long fine hair.
