My seven year old daughter thinks this kerchief looks like our pond when it has water lilies blooming about and water sprite dancing at the edges. OK, so what better pond to name it after than Thoreau's own?? (Yes, maybe Monet's with the Giverny bridge he spent so much time on, but there aren't any bridges on this hat!)
Because of the lightweight yarns, this kerchief is quite warm but won't give you the ear melts like some ear muffs! You can wear it with the braided ties under your hair or under your chin, go "Heather" or go "Heidi!" Throw some bangs in front for a very natural, earthy girl look!
