"Double Jeopardy 2008" is an original work of Urban/Pop Art is from the multiple award winning Street Photography series "The Shifting Boundaries and Culture of Manhattan's Lower East Side". The photograph is of a found Lower East Side alley-way gate painted as an American Flag; with a ragged, soiled & torn American flag attached vertically to a clothes line. The unique aspherical rendition was achieved as an 'in camera' effect utilizing a customized fisheye lens. The photographer further obscured the POV by shooting from a low vantage point by lying on his back in the gutter.

"Double Jeopardy 2008" is an 10x8" (25.4cmx20.32) handmade gelatin silver print {including 1/4" border} on double weight matte Kentmere fiber paper from the UK. The print is signed, titled and dated "Double Jeopardy 2008", Lahary, (Lower East Side, Manhattan) in black, archival, lightfast ink. Notations on verso are "F8 x 2 1/2 x 8s" Kentmere, written in blue China marker. Condition Report: Pristine.

Awards for this project were made by the Manhattan Community Arts Fund, the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs & the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. This series also received a Henry Street Settlement/Abrons Art Center Artist-In-Residency award made possible by the Andy Warhol Foundation. The Artist is listed in the ArtFact auction database and has works in both museum and private collections.
