Description
This is an original drawing of a seagull, drawn on location in Stromness, Orkney, earlier this summer. The seagull was perched up on top of a house as I was drawing at the pier side and it held this position just long enough for me to catch it on paper.
The piece was drawn using Winsor & Newton Artists' Soft Pastels, producing strong vivid colours, the blue of the sky as bright as it was on the day. It is drawn on thick pastel paper and the finished artwork been sprayed with fixative to prevent any smudging in handling or transit.
Soft pastels on pastel paper, 23cm x 15cm (9.1" x 5.9")
