Product description
Before the rosary came the paternoster -- Latin for Our Father, also the name for prayer beads as used in the Middle Ages. This piece is based on several medieval paternosters found in Germany and dating from the 15th century. Ten beautiful millefiori beads make up the six-inch-long strand (not counting the tassel). Deep blue with gold, pink and lighter blue accents, the beads are separated by tiny gold-toned beads. Ends with a brass bell on one side, a gold-coloured tassel on the other. Perfect for your 15th century reenactment, SCA or Ren Faire persona, this piece is designed to be held in your hand (while counting off your prayers, of course!) or perhaps tucked into your belt.
