Product description
Hand bound blank journal with cover in felt and cardboard, small size. The sewing is exposed on the spine, not only decorative but also functional: this binding technique allow to not use glue on the back, which gives to the journal a widely flat opening, ideal for writing. *** Idea is the Greek name for the Fith element, the apotheosis, the aether I choose the Frangipani flower (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plumeria) because it's the symbol of beauty and love. These journals mix up different suggestion about theme, textures and color combinations. I like making small series, and at school I was fascinated by philosophy.
I also really like working with felt: I love the contrast of the soft felt touch against the hard and smooth cardboard I like contrast between black and bright colors: black makes colors pop up is a brilliant way, and this combination makes the item modern and "strongly characterized"

Production method
This item is totally handmade: hand trimmed sections and cover, sewn by hand, hand "decorated" cover with original design.
Customisation options
On demand, I can reproduce the same journal in different size, felt and cardboard colors (according to the materials availability), design, sewing pattern, number of pages. It's also possible to customize this item with calligraphy writing on the spine or inside the cover.
