Welcome to my shop at DaWanda! My name is Sardana, I'm originally from Yakutia, Siberia and have been to Austria for 16 years now.
I started with beadweaving, it's the traditional craft in Yakutia. I worked hundreds years old motifs in to OOAK cuffs. People over there do believe in their protective power.
The sewing was a forgotten hobby of mine, and as I've opened my shop I've discovered sewn and appliqued fabric cuffs, I've made years ago. So they are listed here as well.
What about mammoth's tusk, ask you? They are from a friend of mine, OOAK and won't ever made again. So take your chance! More are listed on my Etsy shop. If interested, I'll list them here as well.
At the moment I'm learning embroidery, all I knew before was cross stitching. Slowly but surely my own style, colours and designs are coming to shine. Just see what comes!
Description
Handmade of mammoth's tusk - an animal inhabiting the territory of the present Yakutia – it’s in Siberia, my birthplace - tens thousands years ago. The high quality of tusks is stipulated by their conservation in the thickness of permafrost. The size of mammoth's tusks was about 4,5 m (15 f) in length, and its weight was 150 kg (331 lbs).
