The print is signed, numbered, embossed with my stamp, and comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity. Chief Wolf Robe was a member of the southern Cheyenne of the upper Arkansas River. The original photo from which the painting is derived is attributed to Frank A. Rinehart, shot in 1909. Another well known photo of Wolf Robe is considered to be the inspiration for the “Indian Head Nickel.” There are numerous references to Wolf Robe on the web including his winning of the Benjamin Harrison Peace Medal.
