8.5 x 11 inch, 21.6 x 27.9 cm unmounted deep etch red rubber stamp sheet.

These stamps are uncut and unmounted – they come as the “raw rubber” sheet in a clear reseal-able sleeve. You cut and mount as you please (mounting tips are below), and pay much less per image than you would for pre-mounted stamps. (You can also split the images and offer as gifts.)

I had bookplates on the brain while designing these - hence the book theme.
Note that any black and white images are low resolution. The stamps and the impressions they leave are crisp and clear.

NOTE: These stamps are deep etch, but are not as deep an etch as some of our other stamps and were not specifically designed for use with velvet embossing. These stamps are smaller, more detailed and not "reverse value", although they may suit your velvet embossing purposes and are certainly safe and deep enough to use. They will work well with clays and printing on paper, fabric, etc.

Our stamps are made from our original artwork. We send the images out to be made into magnesium plates and then rubber stamp sheets.

The images on deep etch stamps are raised higher from the "floor" of the stamp - this means that they can produce clearer and crisper images when used on softer surfaces or with thicker inks or paints. They are perfect for printing on fabric or thick rag paper, and pressing in clay. See the note above about the etch of this particular set.

You can mount these stamps permanently to bases made of wood or other material, or you can back them with a special mounting cushion that uses static cling to adhere them to a variety of glossy-surfaced materials, such as clear acrylic blocks. This allows you to attach and reattach the stamps to mounting blocks, without having to use temporary adhesives. The stamps can be stored more compactly than wood mounted stamps - they can be stuck to laminated binder sheets or even to a file cabinet or fridge.
