'Peshtemal' is a traditional Turkish towel, used in the Turkish baths or in the hamams for centuries. It is a well known part of Turkish culture which exists since Ottoman Empire Palace. It is the essential part of the Sultans Hamams. It absorbs water as fast as towels, dries quickly and keeps less space in your bag or storage. Peshtemal provides practical, cost-effective and eco-friendly solution. It is made of %100 cotton yarn and hand wooven.
textile, especially with towels in the world.
My peshtemals are produced in manual looms by a person. So, they are handmade.
In Turkey, in villages, there are small manual looms at homes. The villagers seperate a room or a place from their house for these looms. The women works there in order to support their families. They sell their towels and peshtemals.
These peshtemals are produced by my grandmother and my relatives who live in a village in our country.
That’s why my shop is a collective shop.
Due to they do not know English and how to use PC, I am trying to help them to introduce our values to the world.
I am proud of being a member of Turkishteam and Msteam.
Enjoy with my works…
