After having been an art director and designer for six years at several magazines and newspapers in Berlin and Hamburg,
one sunday in winter I was sitting at my breakfast table and was just about to bite into a nice slice of bread with raspberry jam on top of it,
when it appeared to me that I really should start that small business of which I had been thinking about for quite a while.
I always wanted to do a label with handpicked goods which were all made in a small edition to ensure its uniqueness and high quality standard.
That morning, after having had breakfast, I went out for a long winter walk. And the same night I sat down and started with designs for bed linens.
The first step was done - and PETERSEN was born.
