5 out of 5 starsA little finer and grainier than I expected but I should have looked more carefully at the photos to get a sense of scale for the "beads". Overall, I'm happy to have the necklace and so appreciate this gracious seller.

Frequently asked questions
What is jli kurdi?
Djilli Kurdi* is the name for traditional Kurdish clothing in northern Iraq and literally means "Kurdish clothing".
For women and girls in the Suleimaniya area, the short waistcoat (or coat/bolero) and belt are included along with a half-length undergarment and bloomers in addition to the usually slightly transparent dress with long pointed sleeves.
Men and boys wear wide pants with a wide, wrapped belt, a tight jacket-like top and cap with turban. And "Klasch", handwoven shoes with horn yarn soles.
On the basis of the combination of colours and cuts, an expert observer can conclude from this that they belong to certain regions, ethnic subgroups or family clans!
