The bag is well-made and looks like it will last for many years. I asked for black lining because I wasn’t a fan of the gray polka dot, and the seller was kind to do it for me. I like the wide and adjustable shoulder strap - very comfortable. The shipping from overseas wasn’t bad at all, I got my package pretty quickly. My only complaint is this random white fabric inside of the outside pocket - it just looks so random, plus it will get dirty so fast no doubt. Other than that I am happy with my new bag and will look here again when I need a new bag in the future.

Me and thousands of broken needles

I live in Kamienna Góra, Poland – a beautifully situated small town in the Sudetes.
I work home, in my tiny, cozy handmade- bags studio. Every day I am bravely supported by my boyfriend Marcin and our cocker spaniel Zoran :)
The history of my small business started in 2009. I was working then in the local high school as a Polish teacher and I just needed a large, durable, well-designed vegan friendly bag for everyday use. When I didn't find much on the market, I made my first bag for myself. Another one for my Mom, next for my sister Marta, for all my aunts and all my friends...
Bag by bag, order by order, one by one... Workshops and courses, perfecting the craftsmanship... kilometers of thread, thousands of broken needles.
Marcin got a large men's shoulder bag, and Zoran a funny dog's backpack, in which he carries his bowl and water when we go hiking :)
New materials, new designs... That inspired me even more and finally I decided to turn my hobby into a full-time job. My dream job. It is truly all I have ever dreamt about and so much more! What is Ankate today? It's the passion for quality material, timeless design and skilled craftsmanship. Perfect alternative for everyone bored with mass production and great solution for cruelty free fashion loving women everywhere.

Custom and personalized orders

I can adjust my bags to your needs - make the bag a bit smaller or larger, and the straps and handles shorter or longer. I can create something completely new for you. Just choose the model and color of the faux leather from the palette and let me know. I'm happy to sew your dream bag!
Importantly, custom orders may take longer - up to 2 weeks, are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Care instructions

The bags can be cleaned by hand, with soap and gently brush or sponge. No ironing, no washing machine.

Processing time

I need some time to prepare an order for shipping varies. The processing time is 1-3 days. Why? Because in my workshop I do not produce on a mass scale, I pay much attention to the quality of the finish and I care for every detail.

Delivery time

I send all orders as soon as possible as first-class priority international - global express packages. Actual delivery time will depend on the location but it is approximately:
Europe- 7-10 business days
Everywhere else: 10-14 business days
I'll do my best to meet these shipping estimates, but cannot guarantee them.
