This piece is so lovely that I gasped when I opened the package. It is even more beautiful than the photos show. The description and photos are accurate, it's just difficult to capture the nuances of this piece of artwork. The package arrived in lightweight, minimal packaging, which I appreciated for purposes of caring for the earth. The seller was also very helpful in answering questions I had before and after I purchased this item. I hope this artist will decide to create more flowers like this -- maybe peonies or roses?? Beautiful work and I'm so grateful for this piece of art that I get to wear!

From powder to metal

Les BIjoux de Bull were born at the end of 2005. Five years later, I discovered the work of metal clay (upcycled .999 silver, golden/silvered white bronze and steel).

My raw material is a metallic powder that I mix with water to be able to work it as a metal clay. As so, I am able to give the wished design to my raw pieces, to carve them with a needle, to stamp them... Before firing, all my pieces are dried and sanded. After firing at high temperatures, all my pieces are brushed, sanded and polished. My completed pieces are then handcrafted with tagua (vegetal ivory), stones, gems, egg shells, tinted resin, concrete, wood and so on.

In the raw state, my material is a fine metal powder (steel, silver, bronze, copper ...) that I rehydrate to obtain a metal clay. I can thus model my pieces, texturize them with stamps, engrave them using a needle ... Once dry, my parts are dried and sanded then fired at high temperatures. After firing, my parts are sanded again to find the color of the metal. These steps completed, I combine my metal pieces with tagua (vegetable ivory), stones, eggshells, tinted resin, concrete tinted with pastel blue (the blue woad of Occitanie declared French intangible cultural heritage in 2021), wood...

☺ I make my own bronze powders. For other metals (steel and silver), I've got a French supplier.

☺I've been working with metal clay since 2010 (Senior Certification Art Clay).

☺All my jewels are stamped with my brand name
