Canadian Maple, which boards are made of, is a material that has a lot of aesthetic and utilitarian value. Inspired by this fact, we created BoardThing - handmade goods from discarded skateboards.

HOW TO CARE ABOUT MY RING?
Maple wood is known not only for beauty, but also for strength and durability. However, since it is entirely an organic material, some care and maintenance is essential and required to ensure that your ring lasts for many years.
Your ring is waterproof as long as the finish is maintained. To be on the safe side, we recommend that you remove your ring prior to any prolonged water exposure, such as swimming, showering, washing the dishes, etc.
Avoid exposing your ring to harsh chemicals and solvents, such as antibacterial wipes, soaps, sprays, cleaners, perfumes, mosquito repellents, sunscreens, hair products or products containing isopropyl alcohol. Hand sanitizer should not be used while wearing your ring, as it contains solvents that will eat away at the finish.
Abrasives, such as sandpaper should also be avoided. Always remove your ring prior to operating heavy machinery, lifting weights, or anything else that might put excessive force on the ring. Any activities that could potentially damage the protective finish, such as weight lifting or rock climbing, should be done without the ring on your finger (this is true for all types of rings). Remember that if the ring comes into contact with any surface or object that is harder than the ring, it will always cause some scratches or damage.
Do not wear your ring in rubber gloves or in conditions where it is subjected to constant moisture.
The finish protects your ring from ultraviolet light and rapid changes in temperature. This being said, don’t leave your ring on a car dash or windowsill or anywhere it will be subject to temperature extremes.
When the finish on your ring shows wear, it can easily be touched up or completely refinished. Please be sure to tend to any abrasions right away or the wood may absorb moisture and damage the ring.
When the wood looks a bit dry, you can wipe it with some olive or almond oil. That will look after the wood and bring back some of the rich colours. Please note that wood will darken in colour over time, especially after oil treatments.
The rarely used jewellery should be stored in a dark place with limited oxygen access eg in a clean cloth bag.

It’s the best way to check your ring size in jewelry shop. After that your size is correct for sure. We just need UK, US, mm or any other size.

ISN'T IT SKIN IRRITATING?
No. Skateboard glues used by major manufacturers are a non-toxic waterbased glue. Our rings are impregnated with the special waterproof cover which is neutral to skin.
WHAT KIND OF SILVER DO YOU USE ?
We use sturdy 925 silver to produce our jewelry products. This is the purest kind of silver alloy to make jewelry.
HOW DO YOU COLLECT SKATEBOARDS?
First of all, we are skateboarders. Second, we collect decks from skateboarders community, shops, skateparks and skaters from all around Europe.
WHAT IS 5 YEAR WARRANTY ?
Every ring has 5 years warranty for damages not caused by the user. The warranty doesn’t include bruises, scrapes and other mechanical breaks. If you have any problems with your ring please contact us.
