TERMS OF USE OF OUR STAMPS OR IMAGES

We are an Angel Company:

If you purchase our stamps, you are granted the rights for commercial and non-commercial use of the images as long as all resulting images are created by hand stamping. (Please see the guidelines below if you plan to sell what you create with the stamps.)

Purchase of stamps does not transfer copyrights to the customer:
These stamps are the result of original artwork that is copyrighted, and all rights for mechanical or electronic/digital reproduction and distribution are held and reserved by the artist(s). These copyrights also extend to all images on our website. Reproduction of images in any other medium besides stamping by hand is strictly prohibited.

Mechanical & electronic/digital reproduction includes, but is not limited to: photography; video; scanning; Xeroxing; copying by hand using tracing paper, projectors or other magnifiers; printing; sharing/emailing of electronic files created from stamped images; creating new stamping/marking tools from the images (including stencils and silk screens); using/offering as clip art; distributing or posting online in any form (tubes, avatars, myspace, etc.); incorporating into a logo or label. Specific exceptions for mechanical/digital reproduction:

1. Photos of handstamped arts/crafts items that incorporate the stamps may be used to:

-- Advertise your wares (not as part of a logo, label or a print to sell).

-- Submit for publication in books, magazines, newsletters, online forums, etc., if credit for the stamp images is given to Inklings & Imprints.

(Please let us know any details of publication of your photos so that it can be included in our Gallery or links and we can offer you a "thank you" gift! We would love to see your creations made using our stamps. Drop us a note and we will let you know how to get files to us.)

2. Prior written consent is required for any other use. Please contact us with any questions and/or special conditions. A licensing agreement/fee may apply.

Guidelines for use of stamps for items to sell (for profit or non-profit purposes):

1. Every occurrence of any/part of an image must be the direct result of handstamping - see above. Photographing the stamped image and selling photo prints in which the image is obviously a major focal point is considered mechanical/digital reproduction and is a violation of our copyrights.

2. When it is possible, we ask artists to try to give recognition on stamped items (on the back, bottom or inside) or on included tags, labels, slips, boxes, bags, etc., by one of two means: Copyright stamps come with some stamp sets, but writing/printing "Images Copyright Inklings & Imprints" is great.

3. If you, your company or organization as a whole (including non-profits) exceed or plan to exceed more than 1,000 individual items per year with a given stamp image, please contact us so that we can work out a licensing agreement.

(If the stamps are being used on lengths of paper, ribbon or fabric that are greater than 2 yards, every 2 yards will count as 1 "item" towards the cap of 1,000 items/year (due to the fact that the paper or fabric could be used to make other products).)

Cancellation and return policy

If you wish to return an item, please contact me as soon as possible (within 30 days of purchase date) so that we can arrange a fair solution. I can't reimburse shipping costs. If the item was damaged in transit, please see the notes about shipping, below.

Postage and payment policy

Payment by PayPal is due upon order. If you would like to make an order but are having trouble with PayPal, plese contact me first.

Please note that I will NOT ship to addresses that are not confirmed on PayPal. Apologies. You can login to PayPal to find out how you can update your confirmed address if it is not correct. I will send your order when payment and confirmed address are in order.

I do ship internationally. Please be aware of any customs and other fees that may apply to your purchase. Any fees are your responsibility and I can't keep track of each country's policies.

Be aware that it may be worthwhile to break a multiple-item order into several smaller orders to avoid fees. If you are interested in a stamp set that will bring about a fee, talk to me about breaking the order up.

I typically ship within 2-3 business days of payment clearance. I will contact you to confirm shipment.

I will combine shipping for multiple items purchased at the same time and will pass savings on to you in the form of a PayPal refund. If you make a purchase and would like an additional purchase to be packaged with it, please contact me as soon as possible before I run off to the post office.

If an item arrives and is damaged, please keep all of the shipping materials. If the outside of the package was obviously damaged in transit, please try to photograph it. Contact me as soon as possible so that we can try to take it up with the post office. I can't control what happens to packages once I ship them, all I can do is pack them well, address them correctly, pay the proper postage and get them in the post!
