Sizing details

You do not know your ring size and have never worn a ring: then please do not just put on a tape measure and read the millimeters...

Ring sizes depend not only on the thickness of the finger, but also on the ring model (width, shape, etc.). In this case I recommend (especially for wedding rings) to have the ring size determined by a specialist (goldsmiths, jewellers, larger jewellery department of a department store...) and when measuring the desired ring shape, e.g. thin and round inside.

You don't know your ring size and have never worn a ring before: then please don't just put on a measuring tape and read off the millimetres...

Ring sizes depend not only on the thickness of the finger, but also on the ring model (width, shape etc.). I can also send you a so-called Multisizer, which works like a miniature belt, from which the ring size can be read. But this is only suitable for slim and flat rings.

Care of jewellry with pearls

Jewellery with pearls requires special care, as pearls do not like soap, hairspray and other cosmetics, and certainly not a silver cleaning bath. Therefore, often worn pearl jewellery should always be cleaned with a very soft brush in lukewarm water, if at all only with a mild, pH-neutral shampoo.

Blackened Silver

Blackened silver does not remain black permanently. Since only the top layer of the silver can be blackened, the black is mainly rubbed off on the higher layer and the silver reappears. However, it is possible to "recolour" the piece of jewellery without any problems.

Care instructions

Basically, a beautiful piece of jewellery does not remain as shiny/matte/blackened as at the beginning - at least if it is worn.
So: Jewellery needs care, so that you can enjoy the pieces for a long time! A soft brush and mild soap often work wonders. Even tarnished silver jewellery should first be washed "conventionally" and then dipped into a silver cleaning bath, because a silver cleaning bath only makes silver beautiful again, but does not "clean" dirt away... Polished jewellery can be easily cleaned with a normal silver cleaning cloth. This, in turn, is not suitable for matt surfaces, as you only rub dirt into the roughened surface with the cloth...

Plating with fine Gold

Plating with fine gold is a strong fine gold coating. Normally it is at least 3 milliem/micron (0.003 millimeters) thick, which is 10 times more than normal gilding. Thus the piece of jewellery is permanently protected against tarnishing and abrasion.
Since rings are subject to greater abrasion, gold plating is recommended for rings of at least 20 milliem ( 0.020 millimeters). For safety's sake, have my rings and chains plated with 30 Milliem - everything else with at least 20 Milliem.

The colour tone of the fine gold plating is more intense or stronger than a gold plating with 750 or 585 gold. It is, so to speak, the pure gold shade, 750 or 585 yellow gold is paler or lighter.

colour variations

I take pictures of my jewellery against a light background and with white balance, but it can still happen that the colours of the stones look different in reality than on your monitors - which can also be due to different monitor settings. And gems come from nature: hardly anyone resembles exactly a second stone and since all my articles are individually handmade, it can also come to small deviations from the illustrated articles.
