At the beginning of my story is my Granny Mania, who showed me first needle, thread, knitting needles and crochet hook, she let me to play with her sewing machine.

Then there was a school, college specializing in artistic weaving. Then University, studying painting at University of Arts in Cieszyn and finally Artistic Weaving at Academy of Arts in Łodź. My first inspirations came to me at college, and artistic work of Rosa Pomar – sensitive Portuguese artist - only made it stronger.

During the University years my interest in arts focused on the human being and nature. My work was deeply engaged in society matters. Towards the end of my studies I created a project which meant to make younger and older children familiar with different disabilities. And that's how the Monsters were born! At the begining, imperfectly made, without arm or leg, sometimes sad. I wanted to show to the children that everyone should be loved no matter how they look.

Today Monsters became a way to pass my sensitivity to the children and grown ups, they are bit of my life style. The growth of my small production has speed up a little, thanks to the support of my young and energetic partner, who shares with me her experience and her great and fresh ideas. There is nothing like two strong and creative women!

Mimi Monster is a very small production, where we create magical world of hand made toys, baby booties, hats and many more. At our studio we create hand painted duvets and sleeping bags, t-shirts with prints designed by us and customized prints, original trousers and teepees. But this is not only what we can offer for our little ones (and not so little too).

All our products are hand made and we pay the attention to the smallest detail. We always make sure that Mimi Monsters are unrepeatable and unique, and each of them is a part of our studio.
