So, I've had a shop on etsy for quite some time now and have gotten really tired of their elitist ways. So I discovered DaWanda:D I've only been here a couple of days now, set up shop and all but I already feel like this is the place for me! It's not as full with crap as etsy and there is real creativity everywhere! Plus the listing techniques are way better!
So, I thought I'd stop by here and meet you all! I'm hoping for a long and blissful cooperation:D

welcome!! I hope you will find your place here :) it's a little slow in the beginning before you get feedbacks and start selling, but it's definetly a nice place to be... :)

Hi,
I've also a shop on Etsy, and actually today i asked advise on how to close my store there as my items will be ending the time limit shortly. I feel like i'm in a cattle market there, you list something and five minutes later your way down the list! I've hardly had any views, a few hearts and no sales. I have'nt had any sales here yet either but i feel more at home, and have met (so to speak!) some really nice people. I'm creating, lising and hoping!
Good luck!

Welcome Sofie! I consider myself a disappointed etsian myself...got kind of frustrated with it. Although I'm still quite new, I'm loving Dawanda already.

Hope the first sale arrives soon for both :)

Hello!
Looks like I am following in all your footsteps! I was also on etsy for the past several months and has almost the same experience. Not many views, or hearts. I think a lot had to do with my pictures and just the overwhelming amount of competition. Living in France didn't help me too much either with the cost of shipping! Looking forward to starting fresh and meeting new people.

Have a wonderful day!

I think we should start a 'fed-up of etsy' club. I've looked at all of the above shops and they are all fab. Wishing success and sales to all of us!

Welcome Sofie! I have been on Etsy and am also disappointed with it, even though I am in the US, I have sold more on Dawanda than Etsy! Good luck Sofie and everyone else who posted :)

All of your shops are wonderful. I've been on here for some months. I like the listing format better and that you can edit your expired listing without having to re-list it first. It gets lost the way Etsy does it. I've had more sales on Etsy. The English format is slow here, but if we visit everyday and post links to Twitter & Facebook, we can gain traffic for all of us here on Dawanda. LOl to all.

Hello I'm a newbie too! What impresses me most about DaWanda is you can see what people are putting in their baskets! I was like "yes there are people buying!" on etsy, you can never feel anything and then newbies get lost especially the private sellers who create their own jewellery and are not a registered shop or business so I look forward to getting to know all of you! :) I've already looked at so much and want to buy it all!

What I love about this place is that it IS international! Just look at how many of us are from all over the world. :)

sew-it-up

I like this place because I am living in Paris, but I can advertise all over the world, in French and English! My friend recommended etsie, but I chose the site because it doesn't have listing fees, apparently it was the right choice! Now I can list what I like and I pay when I am payed... much better for a newcomer like me. I think I'll tell my friend to check this one out. Good luck everyone!

Although things are very slow here at the moment, i feel much more at home than on Etsy and i love the international side of things. There are so many interesting shops with great creations and so many talented people.Yes, this is a great site!
