I have had 10 sales in September for which no payment has been received. I have sent the buyers reminders etc., but everything has been igored. I am anoyed about it, as it has been more than one buyer doing this. Most of my customers pay pretty quick, or get in touch if they are on holiday. I have contacted Dawanda, but feel there is nothing I can do but relist and hope it doesn't happen again. Has anyone else had this experience?

I have two shops on DaWanda and have had lots of unpaid orders, so many this month that I have lost count.

The customers on this site, do not respond at all to reminders, which is extremely rude!!

Some of my non-paid orders this month have been from other sellers on DaWanda - which, I personally find disgusting!!

I have the same problem. One order has been purchased 5th September and still not payed. I contacted buyer and she a week ago said that she paid for item but I´m still waiting for the money on my account. Don´t know what to do! I´m a little bit worried...

It´s not the first buyer that pay with Bank transfer, I know that usually it takes max 10 days but it´s been 22 days since she "paid" and money is still missing... What to do? any suggestions?
Thanks

It is up to you what you want to do, if you want to hold the order and wait.

I don't bother waiting anymore. I do not have time for people who place orders and don't pay, I just cancel it and move on.

I'm hoping that the new auto confirm feature will cut down on the number of non-payers - here's hoping!!

buyers have 7 days to pay, and bank transfers can sometimes take 10 days to be processed.
I sometimes ring my bank to check if they have any transfers waiting to be processed.

I've had my first non-pay...can someone tell me what exactly needs to be done to cancel a sale? I can't seem to find any info anywhere. How do you communicate to Dawanda admin that you need to have the commission fee reversed?
Thanks for any help!

Just click on the Help button, above at the right side of the page, go to "Help & Contact" there you will find a contactform you can use.
Hope this helps.

I am amazed to find out that it takes so much for a bank transfer to take that long to be settled. Are you sure. When consulting my bank officer about certain issues regarding my account and money transfering I asked how much does it take for the money to appear on my account when someone (in Europe) transfers money on it - on which she replied "In 15 minutes".

It depends on the bank but normally within the European Union it shouldn't take more than 5 business days.

GoldFishJewelry, you shouldn't worry. If the payment does not arrive there is nothing you can do and it is not your fault.
There are A LOT of non payers on Dawanda so it really doesn't worth getting worried or stressed over :)

I'm in Ireland, and it seems to take 3-4 days for money to come through from Germany, but I've had it come through from France in 2 days.
Although not everyone transfers the money straightaway, as it has often taken up to eight days. It can be worrying, wondering if its a non-paying buyer or if they've just delayed sending through the money.

I've had several bank drafts from other European countries, coming from proper buyers I mean, and they took 3 business days. It's actually the same within France.

It only takes a minute to enter your information to set the bank transfer in motion.

It only takes a minute to enter your voucher code for payment.

It only takes a minute to pay with Paypal.

The non-paids are just people messing about!!

DaWanda now requires 14 days before they will cancel a non-paid order ......... now we have to mess about with non-payers for longer!!!!

Same here! I have 3 non paying buyers at my stores and have ask Dawanda to cancel the orders but I was told to send a reminder message(auto reminder) to them on the 7th day and wait for another 7 days before I can ask Dawanda to cancel the order.

My products are stuck and could not release to protential buyers.

Yes, 14 days wait to cancel the order ..... ridiculous!!! What kind of stupid policy is that?

BeauMonde 26.10.2009 13:56

To hold an item for 14 days and lose a possible real sale on it because of the Dawanda terms. Which i did not agree to in the first place when i signed up here. A while ago i was told they were in the process of figuring a new system out to minimize non-payers. Is this it? Seriously who thinks of these rules?

I'm not interested myself, but I know that it is now possible, for sellers who wish to do so, to get rid of the "confirmation" step, which many consider to be a cause for non-payers.

I guess the choice is available on the page where you can edit your shop.

That might be 'a' solution...

i've had more non payers since the auto confirmation was introduced. I don't really care about non payers, i mostly sell in boutiques and shops, but its ridiculous to wait 14 days and hold back an item that long.

Another way to push us away thanx Dawanda.

CrystalS

Hello!
I have received an order last Friday, so it has been already 7 days since then...how can I send a reminder to the buyer? I have seen the text on the order page, but is there an automatic way this could be done?

CrystalS
