If I am not wrong, PayPal accept debit cards too. I use to pay for my purchases.

Actual fact customers can pay through paypal payment gateway without being a paypal member. You can pay without logging in. There is one section at the left that can pay without paypal account. It will still process.

I have only recently setup my paypal account and would like to know what the "IBAN" and "SWIFT" are referring to when asked for if I want to sell abroad. Anyone know?

It is a bank code for your bank in your country. I think you need to call your local bank and ask for "IBAN" and "SWIFT" code. After which, just enter accordingly.

As for me, I called my local bank previously in Singapore.

Hello - I have a slightly different problem, if someone can help? I have a buyer in France who thinks she paid by PayPal. I haven't received any payment in my PayPal though. I've asked her to check her DaWanda to see if she needs to confirm it anywhere. I have definitely confirmed on my side... any ideas? If she can't figure out why it's not working, I don't know what else to do... ??

Hello all. We are new here and just setting up our shop. I have two questions I need help with:
1. Receiving payment by Paypal. Except the 5% commission cost by DaWanda are there any other fees charged by Paypal? If the transaction is considered as transaction from Paypal user to another Paypal user it should be free right? But if it considered the same as paying on Paypal Gateway (where you can pay with a card even without Paypal account) then there is a commission for Paypal.
2. What does the option Bank Transfer mean? Is it a standard international bank transfer or something that is used locally, in Germany for example? We are in the EU but my bank charges all receiving foreign transfers minimum 6 euros (from EU countries too) so if this option means a standard transfer then I am losing a lot of money on the commission. If on the other hand, it is something buyers in Germany can use without any additional commission than I would be happy to accept it as method of payment. In that case do the money arrive on my Paypal account?
If someone can help with these questions I would appreciate it very much. Best regards.

Hello
Just need a little info on a payment by palpal. I've had two sales, one a little while ago which was paid by cheque and one this evening by paypal.I went to see the sale, which was a payment paypal and so confirmed the sale. Not knowing what to do next( if there is anything to do?) i went onto my account paypal but nothing has come in yet, no sign of payment. Is there something else that i should do apart from cofirming the sale? Is that why i don't see it on my paypaal account? Would love some advice, thanks!

Hello jeanniescreations!
As far as I know and from my expirience, what you did is good and now you just need to wait for the payment. The buyer sopouse to see that you comfirmed the sale and by that to get your paypal details (in condition that you put those details in your dawanda shop...). When to pay its already up to the buyer and sometimes, from my expiriens it can take a caple of days. If few days have passed and you still didn't recieve any payment, than you can send a message to the buyer, asking if he/she is still interested in the buying.
I see that you wrote this questiopn on the 12.10, so I belive that you already have the answer, but I answered just in case...

Good luck with all,

Orit

Moccamoda,
As far as I know, when you get a payment via Paypal, you have to pay them a commission indeed (so that is 'on top' of the daWanda commission...), but whether the customer uses a credit card or the bank transfer option to send the money, I don't think it changes anything for 'you'— you are still going to receive the price of your item(s) minus the Paypal commission.

It might be that the bank draft option takes longer, but I've never had that, so I'm not sure...

Let us know how it turns out for you.

As far as I know you can use credit or debit cards on PayPal. If you know your customers e-mail address try to send her "Request money" from your PayPal and see if she can pay through that.
Until payment shows up on your account don't ship anything - only proof is the money sitting in your account.
