I'm finding it hard to wait for my first sale... so many people choose never to buy from the shop with no sales because they think that there's something "wrong" with us.... waiting for that first sale is tricky...

New shops or people with no sales, join in! Show us what you have, prove to Dawanda customers we are worth coming to visit!!!

All my jewellery is ethically sourced, at the moment I work not for profit as all the profits are going into supporting the artisan communities who provide my materials, so come look at my shop, look at my profile, get to know me and thank you in advance for supporting handmade and ethical fashion!

KissedJewellery & Hildes, you both have beautiful jewelry. I can't seem to get past 2 sales. The last one was in Feb. Do you Tweet on twitter, it helps to get the traffic up on your shop. Also, do you list on a regular basis, you won't get lost in the archive doing this. Best regards.

It will come - it took me a fair few months to get my first sale.
I also think that showing your items on facebook will do you a world of wonder (I have done it now for the past few weeks and a few of my friends have bought from me - increasing my rep)

also, I hear that alot of people from the Uk are not being big buyers at the moment ... credit crunch and all that lark ... it may help if you put your product descriptions also in either French or German. All of my 3rd party sales have been in Germany.
Be careful with online translators though - it is always handy to know someone who has a feel for the language to help you with this

I read a forum post in the past from Dawanda, saying not to use the online translators. They are not accurate. Mis-communication with your customer would be very bad. If you aren't fluent in a language, don't use it. Keep posting something everyday. The more selection, the better. Best regards.

No sales for me yet either! I have not been listing consistently though. Lots of other stuff (it's called life!) getting in the way. I intend to build up my inventory steadily for Christmas. Also intend to try a bit of publicity - a flickr account and maybe a blog. Wish me luck!
