Forum > Everything else > would like to purchase from european sellers but only on paypal
wassermann 20.07.2008 03:46hi all,
i have seen many wonderful items that i would have purchased, but european sellers mostly only deal in bank transfer (i do this only with australian buyers/sellers as it is free in australia). for me to do a bank transfer will cost me around US$45 and for an item that is about 5 euros it becomes unrealistically expensive. perhaps DAWANDA admin could encourage european sellers to add the paypal, so that we can all enjoy MORE beautiful products.any thoughts??
ArtBizhu 20.07.2008 05:31I think PAyPal is the best ... and It's a good point - bank transfer good just for lokal orders ... and I belive the side who recive money from the international will alsaw pay FEE
ckf5 20.07.2008 07:58I am surprised more people dont use it, paypal is so easy to set up and use and so many big business's use it now.
I love your tori bird wassermann
Le-Bar-du-Vent 20.07.2008 12:11I do have Paypal, and I have been encouraging other French sellers (and buyers, incidentally) to use it too, mentioning it in as many threads as posssible, helping people through their "first times", etc.
I have also added a few encouraging words about Paypal in my Shop & Profile blurbs, as well as in my "green banners", so they appear on all of my listings and are highlighted.
Essies 20.07.2008 14:07I'm using Paypal, it's better and cheeper then banktransfer. It's easy, only to put money on your paypal account takes almost one week. I little long in my opinion.
bijouxdellostregatto 20.07.2008 14:50I think that Paypal is the best method of payment for buyers and for sellers. It's easy and absolutely free of risks. When you want to transfer your money on your bank it took only few days (and if you transfer more than 100 euros you don't pay anything).
Love your jewelry wassermann!
wassermann 20.07.2008 16:11thanks for the nice comments on my work! also thanks for the replies. i want to contact admin so that maybe they can do a paypal information page for buyers/sellers who don't offer it.
i'm certain that their sales would improve and especially to overseas buyers like myself - there are several items i'd love to buy, but noly via paypal.
ChickenPox 20.07.2008 20:33I have a Paypal account, too. It's odd that people require bank transfer payment, don't they know how expensive it is internationally?
But Paypal does have its issues, and bank transfer is safer to sellers. Through Paypal, buyers can claim refund (if they say they never got their item).
CreationsByAniDAWANDA 21.07.2008 02:24Hello,
I have paypal, too. It is easy, inexpensive (for international transfers) and very fast!
I will post something in the german forum.

kittyanydots 21.07.2008 02:38I'm not European, but I use Paypal only. I haven't had any problems with it and it's easy to use! :) I also know that I got payment for my item; that makes it possible for me to ship faster!
NordicStitches 21.07.2008 10:35I've seen items that I would like to buy, but end up not buying them because bank transfer is the only paying option. Maybe sellers need more information on how to use Paypal?
UnikateausderLueneburgerHeide 21.07.2008 15:18we accept moneybookers.
AnitasBags 21.07.2008 18:14I accept paypal and bank transfer. Despite the fees, I prefer receiving payments with paypal. International bank transfers just take much to long.
Also as a buyer I prefer paypal, I feel it is safer than a bank transfer, I actually wouldn't know how to get money back in case of non delivery with a bank transfer.
Plus I think a customer is more likely to effect immediate paymant with paypal, since not everybody does online banking and might not be able to make instant bank transfer. Here on DaWanda most of my customers paid by bank transfer, but all were European customers (most German) and we actually don't have fees for bank transfers within EU countries.
MarikaJewelry 21.07.2008 19:49I'm using only Paypal. Got burned once with bank transfer when the buyer didn't pay the fees and I ended up having to pay them myself. Ended up giving away the earrings for free :(
Never had any problems with Paypal, love it.
DELAVALLE 22.07.2008 17:15Paypal is definitely faster, safer and much much easier
Valmade 29.07.2008 10:03I only use paypal these days as it's easy to use in just about every country, and you have some recourse if there is a problem.
Bank transfers are really a pain if it's not local.
Tizzalicious 29.07.2008 20:01I use both, and I think paypal is great. I love how fast it is.
I like how bank transfers have less fees though, but obviously not if the seller has to pay a lot.
I think it's best to use both!
TheBirdsInTheMeadow 04.08.2008 18:02I only use paypal, it simplifies things and the simpler the better as far as I'm concerned :)
Carolee 06.08.2008 07:34I too only use paypal, this way everything is clearer for both the seller and the purchaser. also seems to be used worldwide and no problems with the currency conversions.
lasidi 06.08.2008 19:30I think its best to accept both way of payment, as I do.. ;)
